Experienced Beekeeping Consultations
Need an experienced beekeeper to check-in on your colony? Maybe troubleshoot some hive issues you’ve seen? Need help deciding where to place your future apiary? Do you need treatments applied to your hives? Need someone to make sure your hives are prepped for the winter?
This service is not a private lesson. The client is welcome to be there and participate, but the main focus is the hive inspection. Our beekeeper will move at the pace of getting in and out of the bees while formulating their assessment of the colony health. At the end of the hive inspection, recommendations and a colony assessment are sent to the client.
Price: $55/hr + drive time
Minimum charge for this service is $55
Payment is due at the end of the consultation
Weather Factor: Flexibility in scheduling is absolutely necessary as all scheduling is weather dependent. A rainy day option will be provided.
Window of Arrival: Consultation appointment times also require flexibility of a “window of arrival” where the beekeeper can arrive anytime ONE HOUR BEFORE or AFTER the scheduled appointment. This is to allow for the amount of unknown time that a hive inspection can take.
Phone/Video Consultation
If you have some questions you need answered or need some direction while you’re in a hive without a visit from our beekeeper, this is the service for you.
Price: $40/half hour
30-min on the phone or texting or videoing (dependent on service)
Appointment ends at 30-minutes. Any additional time is charged in 30min increments, even if the total 30 minutes is not used during appointment
Payment due BEFORE appointment.
